Our story
Passion for fish, beyond borders
The story of Amacore began in 2007, when Koen Vermunt founded the company with a clear mission: to deliver high-quality frozen seafood to the global market. In 2012, Gys van Gerwen joined the team, bringing fresh expertise and a shared passion marking the start of a new era of growth.
By 2016, Amacore began exporting beyond Europe, expanding its reach and reputation. In 2022, the company celebrated a major milestone: serving customers in over 15 countries across Asia and the Middle East.
Now, in 2025, Koen and Gys launch Amacore International B.V. a bold step forward to strengthen the brand’s global presence in premium seafood.
